Meet Hanna Ferguson, COA, OSC
A Guiding Light in Pediatric and Adult Eye Care and Surgery
Hanna is a Fayetteville native who has been in the Ophthalmology field for almost 11 years. She is very well rounded in her training as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant and Ophthalmic Scribe- including Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Refractive surgery, Oculoplastics, Glaucoma, Pediatrics, and assisting in office procedures.
Hanna began working for Dr. Sharon Napier in 2019 and the moment they began working together they knew they were going to make a great team because of their love and care for people and being able to help adult and children’s eyes. Hanna says, “Dr. Napier is an incredible physician, but an even better person, and that to me makes a huge difference in patient care and just overall in patient experiences.
She is kind, humble, and so knowledgeable and I feel so incredibly lucky to get to work for Northwest Arkansas’s one and only Pediatric Ophthalmologist.”
Hanna loves to spend her Saturdays at the Fayetteville farmers market, and has 1 dog, Sullivan, and a cat, Meredith.

Ophthalmology services
- Pediatric eye care: failed school eye exams, as well as specializes in congenital nystagmus (shaking eyes), strabismus (exotropia)-eyes that turn out and (esotropia)-eyes that turn in. She also cares for neonates and does the eye exams in the NICU’s and when babies are discharged from the NICU. Also handles double vision, treatment for congenital ptosis (droopy eyelid in children)
- Adult eye care: Double vision, strabismus (eyes turning in and out), eye lid drooping, or excess skin, medical Botox for hemifacial spasm and blepharospasm, Thyroid Eye Disease
- Surgical services: Strabismus surgery for children and adults, droopy eyelid surgery for children and adults, excess skin removal for adults
- Cosmetic services: Botox, filler, cosmetic eyelid surgery for excess skin
